Welcome to my literary corner and storytelling part of the world…
I take great pleasure in recounting my life experiences as a former entertainer, where I spent many years. Since my parents hail from Mississippi and immigrated to New York, their deep southern roots and the stories told to me from earlier generations and of our African-American lineage have always captivated me.
So, I decided to write a book about them based on true events with the women in my family. That truly is how ‘Why Ruin Another Life’ was born. It is adapted from a screenplay I had written years ago about how one woman’s choice shifted the generations of women in our family. I am happy to share the new extended book video trailer for the book, and my hope is that we can learn how one decision can change a family forever.
